• The Olive Adobe: A Vacation Rental Story In Pioneertown, California

This week's blog post is a feature of one of our customers Peter Phinney, Host, at the Olive Adobe in Pioneertown, California. Located just 35 minutes from Palm Springs in Pioneertown, the Olive Adobe is a luxurious, private retreat on 7.5 acres of the southern Mojave desert.  Surrounded by some of the most stunning scenery in Southern California, the adobe is just over 2 hours from Los Angeles but it feels like a million miles from nowhere.

Peter purchases our bath amenity kits for his guests and here is how he customizes them:

I punch a hole in the edge of the clear plastic "satchel" and I tie on a manilla tag which I emboss with the Olive Adobe logo and I write in my best cursive handwriting:  "..... with our compliments" or "..... enjoy your stay"  or "....welcome to our cowboy paradise" on the tag.  The logo makes it look like the products are our own exclusive line.  I really like the branding opportunity that the kits afford.  They make us look very professional.

Since the vacation rental business is really all about helping people make special memories, we like anything like this that gives us an opportunity to make guests feel well cared for, and also ties our "brand" to those fond memories they take home.  We tie our clean towels up with a custom, western "hat band" that's embossed with our name too.  The band looks like a teeny western belt with a nice silver buckle on it.  People notice the little things.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us and also some of your branding secrets.  We love your creativity with the bath amenity kits and also the hat bands!  Keep up the good work Peter!
